Stress Management for Health Course

 

Welcome to the home page of the Stress Management for Health Course.

 

This is a free, five session, on-line course written by qualified health professionals with over 30 years experience of Nursing and Occupational Therapy in the National Health Service, the last 10 years specialising in the Stress Management field. 

People with stress related problems are often told to relax or reduce their stress but they are not told how.  There are also too few courses where a person can learn to manage their stress, often they cannot fit these courses into their working day, or they cannot afford to pay a Stress Management Adviser.  This is where this course comes in; it's totally flexible, there's no cost and you can go at your own speed. 

The Stress Management techniques outlined in this course have been proven to work and have been trialed in GP surgeries and other community settings.

We are not helpless in the face of stress; we can learn stress management techniques that will help us to reduce stress and get the maximum out of life.

This stress management course is designed as a self-help tool for stress related problems.  It is important that you do not diagnose yourself as suffering stress but see your doctor for an accurate diagnosis and assessment, because there are some medical conditions whose symptoms can mimic stress and if this is the case then its vital to get it diagnosed and treated by your doctor.  If you have any form of chronic health problem or are taking any prescribed medication then discuss with your doctor the use of the stress management techniques outlined in this course.
